In the last few weeks we were delighted to participate in two new digital fairs, with TRM@rketPlace and the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo, writes Peuch & Besse CEO Sylvain Combe. After months of one on one meetings only, being in the midst of business platforms that offered a digital sense of TFWE Singapore or Cannes, was a nice change!
It was a welcome opportunity to introduce new offers to our customers and prospects and to demonstrate our engagement and support during these difficult times.
But not only… thanks to the initiative of Thibault Allanic, with support from Celine Coquard, we managed an online tasting of three wines on zoom with a potential customer, to whom the bottles were sent just prior to the Moodie Davitt Virtual Expo! On either side of the video call we swirled the wine and were able to taste together. While we could give guidance in the tasting, everyone could enjoy the different aromas, textures and balance of those great wines.
Starting with Grenache « Emotion de Provence, rosé de Provence » was a pleasurable introduction to our virtual session. This crispy Côtes de Provence rosé is bursting with notes of strawberry, peach and melon to bring summer to the palate.
« Chablis domaine Heimbourger » comes from a family domain by a 3rd generation passionate winemaker. It’s made from Chardonnay grown on limestone and clay hills that give Chablis its dry, fresh and fruity uniqueness.
We were also able to enjoy the generous and fresh Château Tour Puyblanquet, one of Saint Emilion’s best Grand Crus since the 1880s, and tell the story of this wine and its famous hillsides.
Sharing a bottle of wine is always a great experience. And, at times like this, sharing the same pleasure is even more enjoyable, even if it is shared virtually!
