Chocolate specialists Villars and Valrhona will highlight new gifting ideas at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore (Basement 2 F 32).
Villars underlines its Swiss heritage through a new Les Laits Suisses box and Valrhona adds festive tastes with its Christmas collection.
The cardboard Les Laits Suissses box contains three 100g bars of milk chocolate. Each bar refers to a different milk-producing region in Switzerland. According to Villars, the milk adds distinct aromatic notes to its chocolate.
Milk from the Bernese Oberland contributes to a ‘melt in the mouth’ chocolate; Fribourg milk gives a creamy and caramalised taste and Luzern produces a full-bodied, velvety chocolate.
Villars partners with regional dairies to select and trace the milk which is then geographically defined as Sarine and Fribourg districts, Simmenthal for Bern, Canton of Luzern.
The Les Laits Suisses packaging highlights each region, with different cows referring to local breeds. Package design also features the peaks of the Swiss mountains of each region: Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau for Bern, Moléson for Fribourg and Pilatus for Luzern.
Valrhona’s Christmas collection includes a 16-chocolate Gift Box in Praliné Square, Single Origin Jivara, Single Origin Macaé, and Salted Caramel flavours.
The Truffle-Style Specialties also contains 16 pieces, in Lemon, Dulcey Praliné, Caramel Tanariva, and Guanaja Single Origin, while the Christmas Treats Pack features dark, milk and Blond Dulcey chocolates.
Valrhona’s Orange & Manjari Bar combines Madagascar Manjari 64% chocolate with candied orange and Christmas Ballotins, complete with festive gift wrapping. Available in 230g, 345g, 465g and 700g formats.
