URUGUAY. Carrasco International Airport has opened a rooftop terrace at its new terminal.

The 120sq m area offers a close-up view of the airport’s landings and takeoffs, and replaces the terrace that became a popular feature of the former terminal.

An outdoor observation deck includes a modern, open bar offering varied dining options, the airport said.

Carrasco International said the “spacious, bright and comfortable” terrace was also suitable for hosting events, business meetings and other public gatherings.

The new terrace will be open free of charge to the public from Thursday to Sunday from noon to 8.00pm.
