Video interview: Lagardère Travel Retail’s Trinity vision

FRANCE/INTERNATIONAL. “We are the growth engine of the Lagardère Group.” So says Lagardère Travel Retail Chairman & CEO Dag Rasmussen in the first of these video interviews about the fast-growing retailer’s strategy and ambitions.

A snapshot of Lagardère Travel Retail’s latest commercial developments was presented at The Trinity Forum in September, as part of a series of films commissioned by The Moodie Davitt Report and produced by Peter Marshall’s Marshall Arts International for the event. Here we present, in three parts, the long version of the Trinity film.

Below, Dag Rasmussen explains how three key elements represent the Paris-based company’s differentiated approach to the sector. ‘Glo-cal’ is one, combining local expertise and global knowledge. The second is operational excellence and the third is the combination of duty free & luxury, travel essentials and food service.

Lagardère Travel Retail Chief Business Officer Frédéric Chevalier talks about the three different strands of the business, about the role of new and bespoke concepts, and about creating a connection with the consumer.

Lagardère Travel Retail CEO Duty Free Global Ambroise Fondeur highlights the importance of matching the local DNA of airports and of presenting points of difference from location to location in both design and offer.
