Victorinox spotlights strong multi-category portfolio for Cannes

Swiss lifestyle brand Victorinox is set to highlight its strength as a multi-category brand at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition (Bay Village 12A).

Victorinox Head of Global Channels Thomas Bodenmann said: “With recovery in global travel retail accelerating, it is crucial that travellers returning to our stores are met with a broad and diverse offer from brands they know and trust.

“The innovations Victorinox will showcase at Cannes demonstrate the continued investment across our portfolio and our commitment to building a strong multi-category business in collaboration with our retail partners.”

The Swiss Army Classic Red Edition fragrance is regarded as an aesthetic tribute to the brand. Its packaging fuses Victorinox’s red colour with silver while the falcon shape is designed to echo strength and energy. The cap and box feature the Alox pattern from the brand’s well-known Swiss Army Knives.

The fragrance is the work of Perfumer Coralie Spicher of Firmenich. It is vegan and cruelty-free and presented as 100ml eau de toilette. Like all Victorinox fragrances, the Swiss Army Classic Edition is Swiss made, from product development to production. It is available in travel retail from October.

Swiss Army Classic Red Edition fragrance and the Victorinox Journey 1884 watch are strong features of the brand’s presentation at Cannes

Victorinox Journey 1884 timepiece takes inspiration from the Swiss alps, with a hand design replicating hiking signs and a dial featuring the rough texture of a natural hiking path. The strap is practical and sporty.

The Swiss Army Knife – a standard item on hikes – is evoked in the counterweight of the second hand. The case features strong shapes and curves and the notch at 6 o’clock on the bezel is designed to look as if it has been carved out by a sharp pocketknife. The brand’s industrial roots are also reflected in the finish of the case, in the engraved material code and with the founding year 1884 presented on the bezel.

The watch is ISO certified for shock and water resistance, offers a tridimensional dial with a ceramic bezel, with the automatic version in yellow. Journey 1884 is available in travel retail from November, in selective markets including cruise channels, with global rollout in Q1 next year.

Victorinox will also highlight its Airox collection, which launched in 2020. The lightweight yet robust suitcases are made of 100% polycarbonate, with the carry-on weighing just 2.3kg.

Airox is set to introduce bold new colours at the TFWA World Exhibition

The Victorinox Red is said to represent the brand’s DNA and its Swiss Army Knife heritage. It is complemented by new colours silver and black. The case’s internal features include a Butterfly Opening System with two divider walls opening towards the outside.

The telescopic monopole handle system is engineered by Victorinox, and the case has 60mm Hinomoto wheels with silent-run Lisof tyres and YKK zippers.

Additional features include a Travel Sentry Approved recessed combination lock and an Access Lock Combination Recovery Programme. The Airox collection consists of three carry-on sizes, a medium and a large suitcase and will be available in travel retail from Q1 next year.
