Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has launched a webinar series called #TRThoughtLeaders to boost the travel retail channel’s post-COVID-19 recovery.
The next webinar will shine a light on the key findings from TFWA’s Insight Report, which addresses the issue of sustainability in travel retail.
It will take place on 16 July at 10:30 CET, with an afternoon session scheduled for 17:00 CET.
The Sustainability in Travel Retail Study 2020 offers data and analysis into the growing importance of environmental and ethical sustainability to travellers and how these issues can impact their purchasing decisions.
The study also presents important insights from travel retailers, brands and airports which illustrate the challenges and opportunities that come with adopting sustainable business practices.
The Sustainability in Travel Retail Study 2020 was written by Pi Insight Managing Director Stephen Hillam, who will present his findings during the webinar. He will be available to answer any questions and address comments from participants.
TFWA President Alain Maingreaud commented, “Many in our industry believe that addressing travellers’ concerns over sustainability will only become more important after we emerge from the current crisis. It will be vital for our industry to understand how these concerns can shape purchasing behaviour, and how we can respond to these sensibilities in a dramatically changed world.”
Following this session, TFWA says that upcoming #TRThoughtLeaders webinars will tackle other major issues that have greatly impacted travel retail during the COVID-19 crisis. More details will be announced soon.
