Travel Retail Solutions launches Rescue My.Hair sustainable shampoo bars

Travel Retail Solutions (TRS) has strengthened its brands portfolio with new shampoo bars from My.HairCare.

The Rescue My.Hair bars are part of a salon-professional collection which adopts an environmentally-responsible approach to hair care. The range is sustainable, vegan and “kind to the environment”, said TRS.

My.HairCare was developed by hairdressers Rob Forgione and Denis Kovalyov with an emphasis on delivering “wellness for a healthier planet”.

“We are forward innovators that follow what the market demands and follow niche lifestyles and popular ideals,” said Forgione. “One of the leading ideas is of course our dying planet so it was paramount for us to formulate products that meet these mainstream demands and to bridge the gaps in the hair care market place.”

The 80g Rescue My.Hair bars use soap-free and waterless technology and are easy to use. The bars are available in four variations – hydrating, smoothing, volumising and cleansing – and can be used for hair and body.

The Hydrate bar contains extracts of aloe vera, prickly pear and carob seed extract and has a bergamot and rose fragrance. Smooth blends wild rose seed, olive, grapeseed, corn germ and sunflower seed oil to moisturise and help to reduce frizz while Volume features extracts of soya germ, fava bean, pea and kidney bean and is scented with lotus and cherry blossom.

The Pollution Patrol bar is enriched with oat protein to purify and soothe all hair and scalps and fragranced with cucumber and violet.

The bars do not contain palm oil and chemicals and, according to their developers, take significantly less water to produce and to use than liquid shampoo.

TRS Director Abi Bright commented: “We are extremely pleased to be working with this brand, especially as sustainability has become such a key requirement for our customers.

“Not only is the environmental message strong – even the cello-wrap is compostable – but the products are fantastic. Regular travellers will rejoice as the box is reusable and because the shampoo is in a bar, it avoids the 100ml liquid allowance when flying.”

Bright underlined TRS’s aim to provide the travel retail industry with innovative products and to “recognise the need to diversify when working within a competitive arena”. The company collaborates with Tangle Teezer and Dr.PAWPAW.
