INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the new-look Moodie Davitt e-Zine – dubbed ‘Travel Retail’s Lookbook’.

Our aim in relaunching the e-Zine was simple – to pioneer a new way of looking at the travel retail industry. Instead of recreating a print magazine, we have fully embraced the power and potential of the digital platform.

The Moodie Davitt e-Zine aims to bring you the most spectacular images and videos from across the industry, presented in a way that does them justice. We have also focused on readability, bringing you a more accessible and expansive way of engaging with our features and columns. The new system allows you to scroll down the page using your keyboard or mouse, bringing to life compelling words and images.

But it’s not just about slick technology. With Moodie Davitt, content is always key. In this landmark edition, we present a compelling line-up of strong stories. The BARTA (Brand, Airline, Retailer, Technology, Airport) trial launched by Budapest Airport, Heinemann Duty Free and Wizz Air in March represents a watershed in industry stakeholder collaboration. In our exclusive story, the partners reveal the initial results of a trial that could signal a new partnership model for travel retail.

Another blockbuster collaboration, this time between Diageo Global Travel and Dufry, features in Travel Retail Highlights. We also profile (and view) Lotte Duty Free’s latest mega web series – hallyu marketing at its brilliant best from the Korean travel retail giant.

Oslo Airport is showcasing an Edvard Munch original in our popular new Airports as Artports column, while Argentinean travel retailer ShopGallery features in Travel Retail’s Positive Disruptors.

In The Foodie Report, we assess a bold new kid on the airport food & beverage block. Dubai-based HWH Hospitality Investments is kicking up a storm at Dubai International Airport with a series of innovative and highly successful concepts. Martin Moodie meets co-Founders Talha and Mustafa Al Hashimi.

We hope you enjoy reading the new-look Moodie Davitt e-Zine as much as we have enjoyed creating it for you.
