Travel accessory company Travel Blue has reported a +58% increase in sales at Lisbon and Porto airports since a dedicated space was launched at duty free outlets two months ago.

“We aim to provide the ultimate shopping experience for customers through innovation and a strong understanding of what consumers want,” commented Gateleven CEO Miguel Fonseca.

“We have worked hard to attain the status we have today and have achieved this by working closely with our partners, staff and brands to provide the most attractive and successful group of stores throughout Portugal and other European countries.

“Travel Blue is an important brand partner for Gateleven. We have worked together with Travel Blue for almost 20 years and have developed a fantastic commercial relationship.”

Travel Blue Travel Retail Director Jonathan Smith said: “We are delighted to be working with Gateleven on what is a mutually beneficial and rewarding partnership that has gone from strength to strength – and is now stronger than ever due to the recent success of the Travel Blue Corners.”

Smith was recently interviewed by The Moodie Davitt Report, where he talked products and partnerships as the company gains momentum in the travel accessories category.
