“Transforming the culinary experience” – Pacific Farms Market opens at Vancouver Airport

USA/CANADA. US-based Tastes on the Fly has opened its first international location at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

Pacific Farms Market in the domestic terminal takes inspiration from the independent restaurant group’s Napa and Berkshire Farms Markets as a “celebration of local food, beverages and artisan products”.

Tastes on the Fly’s Pacific Farms Market joins a wide array of food & beverage options at the British Columbian gateway

Tastes on the Fly said its expansion into Canada represents a significant milestone. The company operates 25 restaurants in four US airports: San Francisco International, John F. Kennedy International, Boston Logan International and Denver International.

A second, larger Pacific Farms Market is scheduled to open in YVR’s international terminal later this year.

Pacific Farms Market offers a range of fresh foods which reflect the British Colombian food scene. Its menu includes 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters paired with Rosemary Rocksalt bagels or Purebread pastries while F.I.S.H (Fresh Ideas Start Here) offers local and sustainably-harvested British Columbia seafood. Local wines and craft beers, including Fuggles & Warlock, are also featured.

Tastes on the Fly Co-founder and Executive Chairman Michael Levine said: “We are thrilled to bring our award-winning Napa Farms Market concept to Canada with our cross-border expansion to Vancouver.”

Our goal is to provide authentic, fresh, and of course delicious food for our passengers that is reflective of our community. To be able to partner with Tastes on the Fly to bring in this ‘farm-to-flight’ concept is really special and we think the community is going to love it – Vancouver Airport Authority Director of Passenger Commercial Mirela Rusu

Tastes on the Fly is committed to bringing local culinary culture to the airport terminal through concepts including Pacific Farms Market, Modmarket, Napa Farms Market, Lark Greek Grill, Bobby Van’s Grill and Boston Beer Works.

The group’s focus on operations, service and value has resulted in many airport-dining related accolades including The Moodie Davitt Report FAB Awards, Airport Revenue News Food and Beverage Operator of the Year and ACI’s Griesbach Award.

Vancouver Airport Authority Director of Passenger Commercial Mirela Rusu commented: “We are transforming the culinary experience at YVR and adding Pacific Farms Market to the domestic terminal in C Pier is a huge step forward in our journey.
