Imperial Brands will introduce new product innovations from its market-leading brands Davidoff, Lambert & Butler and Rizla at the inaugural Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo next month (12-16 October).
The multinational tobacco company, which is a Silver Partner (#Virtual Stand TO-S4), said the Expo provides a “perfect opportunity for all industry stakeholders to meet under the current exceptional operating environment and engage in securing a strong sustainable future for duty free and travel retail.”
“No company has escaped the harsh realities that COVID-19 has brought to the travel sector. However, Imperial Brands firmly believes in the resilience of the channel to persevere through such challenging times,” the company said.
Imperial Brands Global Duty Free and Export General Manager Christian Münstermann commented: “In times of crisis, we need innovation and unity to find solutions for challenges that we have never faced before.
“This is why Imperial believes in the power of working closely with our global partners to find the right solutions to succeed, ‘Together as One’. This is a guiding principle for our duty free business.”
The tobacco category, Münstermann added, will “play a vital role in the road to recovery and through successful collaboration, we know our industry can bounce back to create a brighter and more robust future”.
Imperial Brands said its road to recovery strategy reinforces its commitment to travelling consumers by underlining its ability to offer leading international brands such as Davidoff, and dominant local brands such as Lambert & Butler.
The company believes the latest product innovations from its cross-category portfolio will drive a comeback in travel retail.
At the Expo, market-leading Davidoff Cigarettes will highlight Davidoff Evolve. Targeting “modern, more conscious smokers”, the pack is simple and compact, with an accessible price point.
Imperial will also introduce travel retail partners to Lambert & Butler Roll Your Own. The product has, according to Imperial, enjoyed great success on the UK domestic market and is now poised for release into travel retail.
Rizla, the rolling paper brand known to never settle for the ordinary, will unveil two flavour varieties and the popular Rizla tips-format will make its return to duty free with an all new exclusive variant.
“As the duty free and travel retail channels continue to transform, Imperial Brands is equipped and ready to welcome travellers back into stores, with its complete tobacco offering,” the company added.
