Three women’s charities benefit as The Moodie Davitt Report Women’s Euro 2022 Predictor Contest concludes

Trophy-winning performance: Peter Jacobson powered to victory in our readers’ competition, the first dedicated to women’s sport

EUROPE. The UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 concluded on Sunday as England overcame Germany 2-1 in extra time in front of 87,192 fans at Wembley Stadium to seal their first-ever major trophy.

That result also brings The Moodie Davitt Report Women’s Euro 2022 Predictor Contest to a conclusion.

We are delighted to announce that travel retail veteran and sector consultant Peter Jacobson of PJBC in the UK finished in 1st place with an impressive 165 points.

Peter has earned €1,000 for the charity of his choice (donated by The Moodie Davitt Report) as a result and has chosen Action Aid (https://www.actionaid.org.uk/), an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.

It pledges to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

Tim Jobber of JES Travel Retail finished second on 162 points, and has chosen Plan International, an organisation supporting young girls rights and equality globally, as his beneficiary for the €500 on offer.

Kanad Roy finished third on 158 points and earns €250 respectively a nominated charity (Note: Kanad please contact us so we can organise his charity donation).

The top 5 was completed by The Moodie Davitt Report’s Matt Willey and Declan Moodie, who earned 154 points and 148 points respectively.

This is travel retail’s first such competition to focus on women’s sport. We are extremely proud to have played our part in highlighting the importance of the women’s game and will be running a similar competition for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023, which will be hosted in Australia and New Zealand.

Foot(ball)note: We will also be running a competition for the FIFA Men’s World Cup, which will be running in November/December 2022 in Qatar. Further details to follow soon.
