In late November The Moodie Report was given a preview tour of the new facility by World Duty Free Managing Director Mark Riches, BAA UK Retail Director Colin Hargrave and T5 Retail Director Nick Ziebland. Each believes with a passion that T5 represents a step change on several levels for Heathrow – in terms of the airport itself, of its commercial offering and, crucially, of what it will mean in terms of consumer perception.

Each commercial partner has had to sign up to the ‘5 Promises’ – a series of pledges designed to guarantee quality and innovation. The end result, spread across 144 stores and food & beverage outlets, is set to transform the landscape and image of Heathrow.
