The Moodie Davitt Report seeks Media Sales Account Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and digitally-savvy Media Sales Account Manager to join our fast-growing team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate flair in identifying new business opportunities and managing relationships with existing clients. The successful candidate will be adept at selling digital media, but will also work across our full portfolio which includes a highly regarded print magazine and high-calibre business-to-business events.

You will be commercially minded. The right applicant will likely have 4-5 years of sales and account management experience, and the interpersonal skills to represent our brand with integrity and at tradeshows, exhibitions and events around the world.

You will have an intimate understanding of all forms of social and digital media from both a sales and analytics perspective, and you will also possess the ability to form a deep understanding of the communications needs of our industry. Ideally, you will already be comfortable using CRM software throughout the sales pipeline.

You will be responsible for both the maintenance and expansion of your customer base.

An international outlook is essential and foreign languages (Chinese and/or French in particular) are desirable. You will be happy to travel internationally.

Duties and responsibilities
• Identify leads and new commercial opportunities
• Foster strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Adhere to sales targets
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from opportunity identification to financial closure of the deal
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
• Provide customer support when needed
• Assist the finance team with new client setup and payment chasing for your clients as necessary
• Utilise the CRM system throughout the sales pipeline

Account Executive – Requirements
• 4-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong negotiation skills
• Commercially-minded
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and cloud sharing software
• Good knowledge of CRM software
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiastic and passionate
