The Moodie Davitt Report seeks International Account Manager

The Moodie Davitt Report sales team is seeking a dynamic International Account Manager to join the travel retail publishing market leader and one of the world’s most-respected and innovative B2B titles.

The role covers our fully integrated media offer across print, digital, social, sponsorship and events.

The position would suit an entrepreneurial professional with proven experience in selling across print and digital channels, who is able to manage and develop relationships with existing clients and who can represent our brand with integrity at trade shows, exhibitions and events around the world.

The candidate will have a great understanding of all forms of social and digital media from both a sales and analytics perspective. They will also possess the ability to form a deep understanding of the communications needs of our industry. Ideally, they will already be comfortable using CRM software throughout the sales pipeline.

An international outlook is essential and foreign languages (Chinese and/or French in particular) are desirable. This will be mainly a remote working position so we are flexible on location.

This is an outstanding opportunity with a company that has consolidated its market leadership and reputation through the COVID-19 crisis and is now embarking on a range of new initiatives across sectors and platforms. The candidate will work closely with Publisher Irene Revilla and Vice President Sales & Events Sarah Genest and business owners Martin Moodie and Dermot Davitt.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify leads and new commercial opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
  • Foster strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Excellent knowledge of the publishing industry, the advertising/media environment and our clients’ sectors
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from opportunity identification to financial closure of the deal
  • Liaise with the editorial, finance, production and creative teams to ensure the smooth running of each campaign
  • Maintain and update the CRM system
  • Attendance at the main industry events

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role (or within the travel retail industry)
  • Good knowledge of digital and social media platforms and their role in the media mix
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Natural organisational & prioritisation skills
  • Well presented, with excellent communication skills and work ethic
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Good knowledge of CRM software
  • Team player and self-motivated
  • Confident and enthusiastic both on the phone and face to face
