Jess Allerton will provide support content and analysis for The Moodie Davitt Report portfolio as well as driving new products and revenue streams.

For the past two years Jess has been Supply Chain Manager – Insight for UK supermarket group Morrison’s, having held senior roles with fellow retailer ASDA and M&S earlier in her career. Before her current role she was Qualitative Research Manager at Gusto Research Agency and earlier was Research Manager/Account Manager for NPD Travel Retail.

Martin Moodie said, “These appointments underline our unrelenting commitment to improving the quality of our services to the travel retail community and beyond. Together with Jeannie Wong’s recent addition to the team, they also reflect our confidence in the future not just of our company but also of the travel retail, aviation and tourism sectors.

“As we celebrate our 20th anniversary and with an eye to the future it is time for me to focus on strategic development while maintaining my day to day leadership of the website I love and leading our all-important China coverage.

“With Dermot and Jenny driving our wider editorial efforts, backed by our superb team of Hannah Tan-Gillies, Mark Lane, Colleen Morgan and China Editor Penny Zhou plus a growing freelancer base in Hong Kong, South Korea, Dubai and India, we’re in good shape to take the company to a new and exciting level. Plus, of course, through our strategic partnership with Hainan Hinews Media Co, we have peerless professionalism on the ground in this key market.

“Jess’s appointment as Research Director marks an important step for us as we begin to resource a new department for which we have high ambitions. The appointments of Jenny, Jess and Jeannie – all the Js – also reaffirms our commitment to women in leadership. They join fellow heads of department Publisher Irene Revilla, FAB Publisher Sarah Genest, Chief Adminstration Officer Sinead Moodie and Brands Editor & Digital Marketing Manager Hannah Tan-Gillies in a dynamic leadership team.”
