INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to The Moodie Davitt eZine – Travel Retail’s Lookbook. We are on location at France’s second-busiest airport, Paris Orly, which is in a transformative phase of development.

Nowhere is this better exemplified than by the exciting retail offer at a new terminal building – Orly 3 – where Paris is brought to the airport through French brands, architecture, art and design.

Guy Bodescot, Chief Executive Officer at Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire, the retail joint venture between Aéroports de Paris and Lagardère Travel Retail, says the Orly 3 development is just the first part of a retail metamorphosis at Orly.

“Orly 3 was not just a question of new physical stores,” he says. “It was about transforming the retail business with a focus on the digital experience between the customer and our staff members – in other words a bottom-up transformation.”
