INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the latest issue of The Moodie Davitt e-Zine, in which we speak to Melbourne Airport Chief of Retail Andrew Gardiner about the vision behind the Australian hub’s new T2 luxury precinct.

He says the area, which will feature leading fashion names including Tiffany & Co, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Max Mara and Emporio Armani, will take Melbourne Airport to a new level.

“We spoke to local customers, and also to our growing traveller base from China. The brands we have are those that our customers say they want – authentic luxury goods with strong brand recognition – and that fit our customer profile right now.”

Elsewhere in the issue, we explore what the airport store of the future might look like in our new Travel Retail’s Positive Disruptors series in association with Tito’s Handmade Vodka. In Sense of Place, Hellenic Duty Free Shops is hoping to offer travellers a “last chance to get a taste” of Greece in its completely revamped retail offer at Athens International Airport.

We also present a special FAB 2017 preview edition of The Foodie Report, featuring the event agenda, the full list of FAB Awards finalists, and the shortlist for the Copper Dog #AiroftheDog Cocktail Competition.

Please enjoy this edition of The Moodie Davitt e-Zine with our compliments.
