INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the latest issue of The Moodie Davitt e-Zine, which this week features in-depth analysis of the 2016 Moodie Davitt Digital Awards.

Every year the awards give us an unparalleled insight into how the travel retail industry is embracing digital innovation and social media. 2016 was no exception with 133 entries across 21 categories, generated via a mix of self-nomination, reader feedback and judges’ selections.

The awards recognise best practice in social & digital media among airports and their commercial partners, and here we present some compelling examples of best practice in the channel.

Elsewhere, this week’s Muse column assesses two intriguing industry joint ventures in Hong Kong and Israel, and looks at why alliances can make strong sense for major airport tenders.
