The Macallan has unveiled the Exceptional Single Cask range, with a limited number of bottles from two casks (a 15yo and 12yo respectively) being made available in travel retail.
In early October, 582 bottles from cask 2 #8167 (15yo) launched exclusively in EMEA travel retail with fine wines and spirits retailer Le Clos at Dubai International. The recommended retail price is US$490/£375.
276 bottles from cask 1 #7492 (12yo) will be released in Americas travel retail during Q2 2019, with a recommended retail price of US$320/£245.

Journey of discovery: The Exceptional Single Cask range features a 15yo (top) and 12yo that will be available in limited quantities in travel retail.

Over years, and even centuries, a diverse range of whisky samples have graced the Whisky Maker’s bench. This stunning new range presents those particular cask samples which have taken our Whisky Makers by surprise. The Macallan’s Exceptional Single Cask range provides an opportunity to experience these moments.”
The range offers consumers the chance to explore the diversity of styles of The Macallan, said brand owner Edrington. Each whisky reveals a particular character, a subtly different flavour or an aroma in the background, it noted.
