UAE. The Macallan and Le Clos have partnered to launch The Macallan Anecdotes of Ages at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The line was premiered to a select group of Le Clos VIP customers in Dubai with the whole collection available at The Macallan Boutique by Le Clos in Terminal 3.

The Anecdotes of Ages Collection is the result of an art and whisky collaboration with acclaimed British pop artist Sir Peter Blake.

The collection comprises 13 one-of-a-kind bottles of 1967 whisky, with each bottle featuring an original art collage by Blake. Each bottle’s individual design tells different stories of The Macallan’s history, community and evokes the natural landscapes of The Macallan Estate.

The launch event was hosted by Jodie Marriott, The Macallan Brand Education Manager for the Middle East.

Marriott introduced two of the exceptional bottlings from the range, the Anecdotes of Ages: Down To Work Limited Edition and Anecdotes of Ages: An Estate, A Community and Distillery expressions.

The Anecdotes of Ages: An Estate, A Community and Distillery tells the story of Sir Peter Blake’s visit to The Macallan Estate and the people he met on his journey

The Anecdotes of Ages: Down to Work Limited Edition tells the story of an important milestone in The Macallan’s history.

The original labelled bottle portrays the moment when the distillery decided to continue using sherry seasoned oak casks, despite mounting pressures to compromise its production process.

322 bottles featuring digital replicas of the label are available, housing the same 1967 spirit.

The Anecdotes of Ages: An Estate, A Community and Distillery expression pays homage to  colourful characters in The Macallan’s history.

It honours Sir Peter Blake’s visit to The Macallan Estate and the River Spey and features a digitally-designed label.

A third expression, Anecdotes of Ages: Journey to Market tells the story of The Macallan’s journey around the world as its reputation grew as a distinguished whisky house.

To celebrate this bottling, The Macallan Boutique by Le Clos has been redesigned with a special window display that showcases the brand and its heritage to travellers at DXB.
