TFWA announces varied social programme for Asia Pacific show

The Opening Cocktail this year takes its theme from the traditional craft of paper-cutting, which dates back to second century China

SINGAPORE. TFWA has revealed details of the social activities for the upcoming Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference, which takes place in Singapore on 8 to 12 May.

According to TFWA, there is “something for everyone” in the week’s leisure and networking activities, including ancient martial arts and demonstrations of the Chinese art of paper cutting to more energetic activities such as water balling across a swimming pool.

A Tai Chi class on Sunday 8 May takes place on the rooftop of the Marina Bay Sands, registration is still available. The TFWA golf tournament, hosted in partnership with Interparfums, is now fully booked.

The Chill-Out Party at the Mandarin Oriental is this year hosted by Lacoste and Haribo

Evening events include the Welcome Cocktail at Raffles Hotel on Sunday evening, which takes its theme from the traditional craft of paper-cutting. The Chill-Out Party on Tuesday at the Mandarin Oriental, sponsored by Haribo and Lacoste, offers delegates the chance to unwind with a relaxing massage or try their luck at winning a raffle prize, including tickets to the French Open tennis final at Roland Garros. Wednesday evening sees the Singapore Swing Party in action on Mambo Beach on Sentosa Island. Celebrity chef Emmanuel Stroobant will deliver a menu that combines French tradition with Asian ingredients.

Sponsored by a number of brands, the TFWA Asia Pacific Bar at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre is open Monday to Wednesday.
