TFS introduces Vending Man grab and go concept at Mumbai T1

INDIA. Travel Food Services (TFS) has launched a new grab and go F&B concept, ‘Vending Man’, at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 1B and 1C (domestic).

The Vending Man concept, inspired by TFS’s food@gate initiative, offers travellers a range of ready to eat and drink options.

A typical Vending Man carries a mobile tray with a limited range of best-selling products, including hot food. The Vending Man can be found by departure gates between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. The introductory menu consists of cooler drinks for summer; snacks and quick bites will soon be added.

Vending Man has been created to cater to last minute food & drink requirements at airports

The trays are equipped with a tablet and a Bluetooth printer for instant billing and invoicing.

Travel Food Services COO and Business Head Gaurav Dewan said: “We, at Travel Food Services, are committed to constantly elevating the travel F&B experience in India, and Vending Man is an extension of the same.

“Considering the volume of travellers and the rush at terminal gates daily, we wanted to create an option for busy passengers to have easy access to quality, freshly packaged, to-go food products. While we are currently testing with two vending men, we plan to increase the number to cater to all kinds of traveller F&B needs.”
