TAV Operation Services partners with airport lounge app start-up

INTERNATIONAL. TAV Operation Services has announced a global partnership with LoungePair, the New Zealand company that has developed an app which enables variable pricing to be charged for airport lounge access.

Via its app, LoungePair aims to open up luxury airport lounges to travellers who may never have been able to access them under previously restrictive membership plans.

Under the agreement with LoungePair, 31 TAV Operation Services lounges, including those under its Primeclass brand, will offer variable priced lounge access through the app.

31 airport lounges under the management of TAV Operation Services are now available via the LoungePair app. They include TAV’s Primeclass Lounge at Zürich Airport, which is pictured above and below.

The parties said they will jointly target new growth opportunities using the combination of LoungePair’s ‘name your own price’ offer capabilities, and TAV Operation Services’ expertise in executive services and lounge management across multiple geographies.

The executive lounges within the TAV Operation Services portfolio that will be actively marketed through LoungePair’s sales channels are located in airports across its network including facilities in Europe, North America, South America and Africa.

Aylin Alpay said TAV lounges will be available to passengers at a lower price point through the LoungePair app

LoungePair Director and CEO Daniel Kinnoch said: “We are very excited about the long-term prospects of this partnership. TAV OS is a world leader in executive and premium services and airport lounge management and is therefore an ideal partner. This partnership will further enhance LoungePair’s offerings to travellers around the world.”

He added: “With leisure travel on the rebound, the signing of this agreement allows both parties to excel in offering improved experiences for all. We look forward to a close partnership with TAV OS as the aviation sector bounces back from the coronavirus pandemic.”

TAV Operation Services Chief Marketing Officer Aylin Alpay said: “We are glad to join forces with LoungePair to deliver customers a comforting, hassle-free airport experience to help global travellers make the most out of their airport journey – all at a lower price point than has been previously possible.

“This partnership combines our strengths to enhance the customer experience journey. Our lounges will become a strategic addition to the LoungePair platform in coming years.”

The LoungePair app now covers over 250 airport lounges around the world.

TAV Operation Services is a subsidiary of TAV Airports, which manages a portfolio of 14 airports in six countries.
