Tasa Meng and Kansai Airport Agency hold pioneering staff exchange programme

JAPAN/TAIWAN. Taiwanese travel retailer Tasa Meng and Kansai Airport Agency Co (KAA) have just completed the first stage of a pioneering staff exchange programme.

Tasa Meng Corporation is one of Taiwan’s two leading airport retailers. KAA, which is owned by Kansai Airports, operates duty free stores and other consumer services, including foreign exchange and advertising, at Kansai International Airport in Osaka.

The programme began with a meeting between Tasa Meng General Manager Gary Chau and KAA management on 12 December at the latter’s office in Osaka.

Like Tasa Meng, Kansai Airport Agency Co has extensive experience in running duty free stores and other consumer services

The first group of Tasa Meng staff members arrived at Kansai Airport on 21 December to participate in the exchange programme.

“We really appreciate the excellent and warm welcome by the KAA team,” Chau said. “We learned more about why Japanese consumers and customers from other Asian countries are buying particular products and what they expect. Our colleagues learned on site about what Japanese customers buy and about their lifestyles as well.”

The mutual education scheme will continue in early 2018 when KAA staff members visit Taipei.
