T5 Gallery Heathrow wins Special Mention at the Corporate Art Awards

UK. T5 Gallery Heathrow has won the Special Mention Award at the Corporate Art Awards 2018.

The Awards aim to recognise and promote the coming together of the corporate and art worlds. The Special Mention was given to T5 Gallery in recognition of its promotion of art to a wide international audience of travellers.

T5 Gallery Director Ann Aldridge and Manager Alex Prior were in Brussels to accept the Special Mention Award, which recognised their work in promoting art among international travellers.

The T5 Gallery, named for its location at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, is one of only a handful of airport art galleries that are both permanent and commercial.

The gallery showcases and supports established artists and also looks to support and help develop emerging talent.

The Corporate Art Awards Board said: “The T5 Gallery experience has been considered as a unique example of best practice that should be promoted around the world in the hope that other major international airports would follow this path.”

Aldridge and Prior celebrate with participants from 32 countries at the Corporate Art Awards 2018 event.

The awards were held on 28 November in Brussels and saw participation from over 80 companies from 32 countries, explained T5 Gallery. Other winners included The World Bank, The British Council, Bulgari and BMW.
