Sydney Airport opens signature gourmet bar Beer DeLuxe in Terminal 2

AUSTRALIA. Sydney Airport has opened a Beer DeLuxe bar and dining concept in Terminal 2 Domestic.

Designed by SJB, the space features an open kitchen where customers can observe chefs preparing meals.

Beer DeLuxe operates daily from 6am to 10pm

The concept also showcases more than 140 varieties of beer on tap, including Australian craft beers Little Creatures and Kosciuszko. It is the largest selection of tap beers at an Australian airport.

A dedicated wine room offers Moët & Chandon and Penfolds 389 by the glass, as well as international and Australian wines.

Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams said the opening comes after an extensive tender process. Beer DeLuxe aims to provide T2 customers with “a modern bar offering where they can sit, relax and enjoy a meal and a quality beverage before boarding”, he noted.

“We’re excited to welcome Beer DeLuxe as our signature gourmet bar at T2 as we continue to enhance the airport experience through new dining concepts that meet our customers’ needs,” Williams said.

There are breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, including vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options

Australian Avenue Co.’s Bruce Dixon said the concept aimed to provide a “fresh take” on the traditional airport pub experience. “I am very pleased to bring the Beer DeLuxe concept to Sydney Airport’s T2, creating a space for customers to relax while enjoying a wide selection of quality beverages and delicious fare,” he said.
