Swisscode has created a line of beauty products especially for Swiss International Airlines. They will be offered to long haul business class passengers from April.
The line comprises three items – Regenerating Face Moisturizer, Moisturizing Hand Cream and Hydrating Facial Spray – designed specifically to counter the negative effects the aircraft cabin environment can have on skin.

The formulas contain a key hydrating blend of Swiss snow algae, glacier water and plant oils. Snow algae is claimed to improve the elasticity of skin, support its repair mechanism and protect it from UVA radiation. Glacier water invigorates dry, tired skin, while cacao, shea butter and almond oil improve the skin’s lipid barrier and protect against dryness.
During long haul flights, the air is drier (and recycled), with 12-20% relative humidity, Swisscode maintains, thereby necessitating a simple skincare regime based on moisturisation and protection.
The brand advocates using the Hydrating Facial Spray immediately before or after take-off, to be followed with a liberal dose of Regenerating Face Moisturizer. The Moisturizing Hand Cream should be applied liberally as necessary. The spray can also be used before landing to “˜wake up’ skin and restore depleted moisture.
