Swissbrand targets travel retail with its luggage and accessories

Lifestyle brand Swissbrand, which specialises in luggage and travel bags, is collaborating with duty free consultant Walter Aguilar to spearhead development plans in travel retail.

Swissbrand Vice President Global Sales Richard Sosnoff said the Performance Sport-owned brand is in the process of opening its first travel retail accounts in Latin America with ‘top-level’ operators.

“Although, travel retail is a newly integrated channel for Swissbrand, Performance Sport has the retail DNA which helps us to understand the dynamics between a brand owner and the retailer,” Sosnoff said.

“Our management team is committed to focusing on travel retail and hopes to have a presence by the end of 2018 or the first half of 2019.”

With product development offices in Italy (Florence) and China (Guangzhou), Sosnoff said Swissbrand was focusing on three major regions: the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Swissbrand products target business executives, everyday travellers and outdoor enthusiasts. Its luggage range includes the polyester Drone and Apolo hard cases which are available in three sizes. Drone comes in three colours and Apolo in five.
