Swedish Match to showcase smokeless nicotine products at TFWA World Exhibition

Swedish Match believes in a world without cigarettes and its ZYN brand is at the heart of this belief. Underlining that stance, the company will be exhibiting its range of new and innovative smokeless nicotine products at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes next month.

It will mark the first time the company has attended the event.

Swedish Match launched its range of products into the global travel market earlier in the year and has already made its mark in the tobacco category. The smoke-free products are designed to appeal to the nicotine consumer.

As reported, it recently extended its ZYN nicotine pouch line with a Tobacco Gold expression which does not include tobacco. Tobacco Gold is designed for nicotine users who do not wish to consume tobacco, but still enjoy the taste. It is available in medium (3mg) and strong (6mg) variants.

According to Swedish Match, the product was developed for consumers who “may not have previously considered nicotine pouches, due to preferring a tobacco taste over the current selection of flavours available in the market”.

Also new to the ZYN line-up is a 9mg variant for the brand’s popular Cool Mint flavour.

Swedish Match said that its nicotine pouches represent an exciting opportunity for the travel retail tobacco sector and “speak to the shifting requirements of travellers in the market today”.

Swedish Match Travel Retail Manager Johannes Varhelyi commented: “We are delighted to be attending Cannes as an official exhibitor for the first time as we showcase our dedication to and support for this vibrant industry.

The decision to enter the travel market came on the back of a successful domestic market performance. This saw the brand become a category leader in the US, while maintaining a strong position in the Nordic region.

“Travel retail is a unique market and a vital global showcase for our products and our smoke-free message and we look forward to sharing our innovations with stakeholders and partners,” Varhelyi added.

Swedish Match will be located in the Harbour Village at TFWA World.
