Sustainability in the spotlight – Nuwave adds Bitmore power bank to product line-up

Nuwave Channel Partners – the UK agency that specialises in travel and technology products – has launched a Bitmore ePro 10 power bank in travel retail.

One of 22 newcomers in the agency’s 2021/22 Power, Audio and Connectivity line-up, the powerbank has components made from recycled plastics and wheat straw.

As reported, Nuwave revealed bold plans to end plastic waste and to highlight sustainability through its in-house Bitmore brand last year.

The Bitmore ePro10 offers up to four full smartphone recharges. It has four charging cables for Apple and Android devices, as well as Qi wireless charging function to enable users to charge two devices at the same time. A kickstand can be attached via suction pads.

The ePro10 case is made from 100% RSC certified plastic.

Nuwave Channel Partners CEO and Founder Hoj Parmar said: “Our focus in terms of product development over the last 18 months has been to reduce our use of plastics (where possible) in our products.

Nuwave Channel Partners CEO and Founder Hoj Parmar emphasises the agency’s commitment to sustainability in future product development

“We aim to promote the use of sustainable or eco-friendly materials generally, which include using recycled and recyclable card, printed with water based inks and made from bio-degradable packaging.”

Parmar underlined Nuwave’s commitment to sustainability. “We intend to build from this core range with sustainability at the heart of all product development, and by working very closely with raw material manufacturers who are at the forefront of this alternative supply chain,” he said.

“We are conscious of our carbon footprint, and our responsibility as a manufacturer and supplier to the travel industry. We have taken additional steps and have been accredited with CSR-A Silver Standard which for us was a way to benchmark what we were already doing with regards to social responsibility.

“It has allowed us to measure and report on our organisation’s socially responsible activities, as well as providing us with a roadmap for planning future activity,” Parmar concluded.
