CHINA. TripurX Tech’s new weekly livestreaming service generated impressive traffic figures for Suntory AO World Whisky.
The livestream was held on 4 December and promoted the Beam Suntory-owned Suntory AO World Whisky’s Chinese travel retail debut at CDF-Sunrise Shanghai.
As revealed, Suntory AO World Whisky features an innovative blend of whiskies from the five major whisky regions: Scotland, Ireland, US, Canada and Japan.
In Japanese, ‘AO’ translates to ‘blue’ and symbolises the colours of the oceans that separate the five major whisk(e)y regions.
Here we present short edited highlights of the 40-minute programme, which generated a total 116,000 views and 39,000 likes for the expressions featured.
The livestream also highlighted other Beam Suntory expressions. These included the Chita Single Grain Japanese Whisky, Bowmore 18yo Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Yamazaki Umeshu Plum Liqueur, and Laphroaig PX Cask Scotch Whisky.
The hosts also shared some at-home whisky cocktail recipes during the session.
We would taste the whiskies from the individual countries and then compare them with the final blend, right? Wrong. Miyamoto san had a better way to show us what each constituent brought to the party. |
TripurX Tech’s livestreaming service is gaining rapid momentum in China. The programme, filmed in the company’s Shanghai studio, features a range of popular duty free items, particularly from the beauty and spirits categories.
Earlier editions focused on Beam Suntory-owned Cognac brand Courvoisier, Bacardi-owned Scotch whisky brand Dewar’s and French wellness brand L’Occitane.
As reported, CDF-Sunrise Shanghai accelerated its digital and e-commerce offer earlier this year and launched its first-ever livestream at Shanghai Pudong Airport’s Satellite Terminal on 26 July.
CDF-Sunrise Shanghai also opened its e-shop on TripurX as part of an extensive marketing partnership between TripurX and CDFG.
