Consumer electronics retailer Capi is collaborating with suppliers to offer customers a range of travel retail-exclusive products and promotions.
“Travellers expect to find something different at an airport,” Capi stated. “They want to be inspired and surprised during their dwell time by great brands and innovative airport-exclusive propositions.”
Together with ‘A” brands, including TomTom and Garmin, Capi said it has created summer packaging designs using lifestyle gifts. For example Capi is offering a pack of golf balls with a TomTom Golfer and a drink bottle with a Garmin activity tracker.
Capi has also created special bundles with suppliers including Sony that contain items such as cameras, memory cards and camera cases.
A previous collaboration with Nikon to highlight its D3300 digital camera has been updated to promote the Nikon D3400.
New Capi-developed products include a smaller version of the Pearl compact mirror and powerbank. The Mini Pearl is available in 13 models, which are presented on Capi’s Gadget Table, one of the company’s key marketing concepts.
In other activity, a repeat of the Capi/Phillips pop-up barber shop at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will soon be organised at Copenhagen Airport.
Capi also collaborated with Sony in a promotion at Amsterdam Schiphol which involved placing a massage chair at the airport to let travellers quietly enter the world of noise cancellation.
Together with American audio electronics specialist JBL, Capi created the ultimate beach feeling with palm trees and beach towels in a separate promotion at Amsterdam Schiphol.
