Stoli Group eyes the cruise market with updated product portfolio

Stoli Group has extended its portfolio with new expressions from Cenote Tequila, Bayou Rum and Kentucky Owl bourbon as it eyes new opportunities in the Americas and targets the cruise market.

Cenote Tequila joined the Stoli line-up in 2018 with Blanco, Reposado and Añejo expressions. Cenote Tequila is crafted using 100% blue agave and is fermented in stainless steel columns before undergoing double pot distillation – a process that preserves the natural flavours of the agave used.

Cenote Cristalino is a newcomer to the Stoli portfolio.

Cenote Cristalino is said to offer the aromas of the brand’s Añejo tequila without the amber colour from maturation in American Oak casks.

Bayou presents sipping rums which, the brand said, reflect its craft distilling, ageing and blending capabilities. Bayou Single Barrel 001 is a limited-edition release of single batch, rye barrel aged rum while Bayou XO is a celebration of the brand’s Louisiana roots.

Kentucky Owl describes its Batch #8 bourbon as the “most robust and complex palate of Kentucky Owl releases to date”. It will also present an 11yo expression.

Stoli highlights Kentucky Owl bourbon and Bayou Rum as it looks to expand in the brown spirits market.

Stoli Group Regional Director Duty Free North & Central America and Caribbean Lizette Garcia said: “Our expanding portfolio allows us to extend our focus and leverage new opportunities. One area we are focusing on is the cruise channel, where we are making great efforts to increase growth for our brands.”

Garcia said products such as Cenote Tequila and Stoli Cucumber have performed well on the US domestic markets. “We anticipate success in this channel given US cruise passenger trends,” she added.

“We are poised to enter brown spirits markets and capitalise on continued trends in premiumisation with our growing portfolio into categories including tequila, rum, cognac and bourbon.”

Stoli will highlight the brands’ new expressions at this month’s Summit of the Americas in Orlando (Booth 1121).
