Stellar Partners wins ten-year retail contract at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

USA. HMSHost retail subsidiary Stellar Partners, in partnership with LAM Holdings and Casa Unlimited Enterprises has been awarded a ten-year contract at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Terminal 3.

The new stores will open through 2020 as part of the US$174 million T3 modernisation programme.

A new retail location in the T3 South Concourse includes the Best of the Valley Market – an open market store-within-a-store concept inspired by Phoenix Magazine’s guide to the best that the Phoenix area has to offer. Besides an exclusive assortment of regional and local brands, children’s products, and apparel, Stellar will offer beauty and body care brand L’Occitane and Sol Shades designer sunglasses.

Stellar News + Market will be located in T3’s North Concourse, featuring a strong emphasis on local products. Both Stellar New + Market and Best of the Valley Market are paired with Starbucks Coffee to provide full-service customer convenience.

Phoenix retailer Travel Outfitters is another newcomer to T3. Stellar Partners described it as a one-stop-shop for all travel needs, offering a wide variety of functional and stylish luggage, bags, and travel accessories. Lolli and Pops will bring its first store to the state of Arizona, offering artisan-crafted chocolates, gift boxes, bulk candies and more.

InMotion rounds out the line-up with an assortment of leading brand name consumer technology, entertainment products and supporting accessories.

ABOUT THE MODERNISATION PROGRAMME

Component 1: Terminal Processor

In December 2016, Phase 1 of the modernised Terminal 3 opened to the public.

New features include:

    • A new, consolidated security checkpoint to reduce wait times and get travellers to their gates faster.
    • Overhauled HVAC systems and vertical circulation systems.
    • New finishes in the interior and exterior.
    • Additional airline ticket counters.
    • More baggage handling capacity.

Component 2: South Concourse

This is currently in progress and is expected to open in late 2018/early 2019.

In this component, additional enhancements will be completed in the terminal processor, including more baggage handling capacity and new concessions. The south concourse has also been razed. A new 15-gate concourse will replace the structure and be configured in a linear fashion. Additional gates built at this concourse will enable the closure of Terminal Two to airline operations. Major improvements in this area will include new food and retail concessions, large airline hold rooms, and new customer amenities.

Component 3: Terminal Passenger Flow Reconfiguration & Concessions Enhancement

Component 3 provides an upgraded customer experience for passengers using the north concourse, including food & beverage opportunities and enhanced customer amenities with new interior and exterior finishes.
