Writing and drawing products manufacturer Staedtler is attending next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition (stand P9, level1) for the first time as it seeks to strengthen its position in Asian duty free and travel retail.
The brand will be highlighting two Premium collections in Singapore, comprising “high-quality” writing instruments for business trips. The Initium line is said to combine first-class performance with elegant and timeless design, while the J.S Staedtler collection claims to offer something for “people of all tastes”, including the Princeps rollerball with black walnut barrel.

Also on-show at TFWA Asia Pacific will be Staedtler’s wide range of colouring products, which, the brand says, offer the right utensils for all age groups as well as giving adults the chance to unwind on flights. Items include adult colouring books by brand ambassador Johanna Basford, triplus fineliners and triplus colour pens. The fibre-tip pens are now available in 42 bright colours.
“Staedtler sees great potential in the travel retail market, particularly for the Staedtler Premium line and different creative articles”, said Staedtler Group Managing Director Axel Marx.
The company’s presence in the Asian duty free market includes shop-in-shops at Singapore Changi Airport and Hong Kong International Airport. According to Staedtler, the spaces offer a tangible shopping experience as well as attracting attention to the brand.
