SSP opens six food & beverage outlets at Malaga Costa del Sol International

SPAIN. SSP Group has recently opened six food & beverage outlets at Malaga Costa del Sol International Airport.

The openings include the airport’s first concept from chef Jamie Oliver. Jamie’s Deli (pictured below) offers passengers freshly-prepared dishes including sandwiches, artisan pizza, salads, hot deli items and pastries for eating in or on the go. [As international Jamie Oliver concepts are operated on a franchise basis, they are not affected by the UK business going into administration.]

SSP also opened two Starbucks units, one landside and one airside, along with a Soho Coffee Co., Burger King and Italian concept La Boutique in April.

“With its reputation as a popular destination for many holidaymakers, Malaga Costa del Sol is the perfect location for us to open new sites for our range of highly-recognisable international brands,” said SSP Spain Managing Director Blanca Ripoll.

“We are honoured to be working with [airport operator] Aena to help improve the overall food & beverage offer at the airport.”

Malaga Costa del Sol International handled more than 19 million passengers in 2018.
