BRAZIL. SSP Group has opened several food & beverage outlets across Rio de Janeiro Tom Jobim International Airport and São Paulo International Airport. The units are the first to open as part of a joint venture from the F&B company and Duty Free Americas. 
At Rio de Janeiro’s airport, SSP has opened the first Upper Crust in Brazil. The 120sq m unit will offer a traditional menu of sandwiches, baguettes and snacks, as well as Brazil-inspired items like the Salpicon Baguette.
The F&B line-up at Rio De Janeiro Airport has also been bolstered by Barzetti serving Italian food, Mi Casa Burritos offering Mexican cuisine, Monty’s Dogs & Cones serving hot dogs, and artisan coffee specialist Ritazza. SSP’s own contemporary dining concept Factory Bar & Kitchen will soon be unveiled.
São Paulo’s airport has also seen the introduction of a Mi Casa Burritos, the first Mexican concept at the airport. SSP has also introduced Upper Crust, Ritazza, Factory Bar & Kitchen, Monty’s Dogs & Cones and the nutritious sandwich/salad offering of Camden Food Co at the airport.
SSP Brazil General Manager Rossana Spena said: “We’re incredibly proud and excited to be introducing some of SSP’s own brands to South America for the first time at two of Brazil’s busiest airports. These concepts have proven extremely popular with travellers across the world. I’m certain that passengers in Brazil will be equally as impressed with these much-loved brands.”
SSP will further bolster its presence at the two Brazillian airports in the coming months, with a new Jamie’s Deli set to open at both airports.
