‘Sleep ‘n fly’: Dubai International launches rest and relaxation lounge with 27 sleeping pods and cabins

UAE. Dubai International Airport has launched a ‘sleep ‘n fly’ lounge in Terminal 3 which offers 27 pods and cabins.

The lounge, which is located close to Gate A1 in Concourse A, features a Scandinavian design which the airport said was inspired by nature. It includes 20 ‘igloo’ style sleep pods as well as seven premium double cabins with pull-out children’s beds.

Travellers can visit for a one-hour power nap or spend an entire night, or any length of time in between, according to the airport.

Tiring business: Officials from Dubai Airports, Onground Hospitality and Collinson Group share a light moment at the inauguration of the lounge

Dubai Airports Commercial Group Executive Vice President Eugene Barry said: “The opening of sleep ‘n fly expands Dubai International’s existing range of rest and relaxation options, and is the latest in a line of personalised and engaging products we are rolling out to cater to the evolving needs of global travellers.”

Onground Hospitality General Manager Geoffrey Carrier commented: “After operating dedicated airport sleep lounges for several years, we have taken our unique concept to a new level at Dubai International. Having launched our new flagship sleep ’n fly lounge, we are very excited to be part of the amazing [Dubai International] experience, and we look forward to offering some much-needed rest to the ever-growing number of passengers passing through the airport.”
