SKYdeals returns to Cannes with ‘shoppertainment’ inflight retail platform

Inflight retail platform SKYdeals will highlight the latest additions to its onboard retail platform at next week’s TFWA World Exhibition’s Digital Village (Gare Maritime, DB1).

The platform specialises in inflight ‘shoppertainment’ through temporary sales of exclusive, targeted and discounted products and services via onboard Wi-Fi. Travellers also have the opportunity to book a taxi, hotel, restaurant or excursion from their seat.

As reported, SKYdeals launched event-specific product catalogues earlier this year. The ‘plug & play’ catalogues offer a variety of products and services for a short timeframe on the company’s e-commerce platform.

That’s Shoppertainment: SKYdeals presents its latest inflight offers at Cannes.

SKYdeals said its platform has been tested by French Bee airline on its Paris to Punta Cana route and will soon be available on long and short-haul flights on major Asian and European airlines.

SKYdeals was short-listed in the Best e-Commerce Platform category of this year’s The Moodies airport digital, mobile and social media awards.
