CHINA. L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific hosted an immersive event on 26 April to launch SkinCeuticals Champion’s Antioxidant Standard in collaboration with China Duty Free Group at Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay, Hainan province.

Dr. HongMei shared the importance of antioxidants in maintaining skin health and discussed ‘The Duke Parameters’ set by SkinCeuticals founding scientist Dr. Pinnell

Backed by 30+ years of research on antioxidants, the formulation of SkinCeuticals antioxidant serums is based on SkinCeuticals founding scientist Dr. Pinnell’s ‘The Duke Parameters’ – the ideal antioxidant standard that ensures effective delivery of vitamin C to the skin.

As a snowboarder, YiMing’s skin is exposed to extreme weather conditions and harsh sunlight during training, so he shared his views on the importance of using an antioxidant serum in his daily skincare routine. He joined Luo Wangyu to orchestrate an apple experiment on stage which demonstrated how the brand’s C E Ferulic serum helps with the antioxidation process.

Dr. HongMei shared her opinion on the gold standard of antioxidant serums and how consumers can choose one that is suited to their skin type. She also shed light on the long-lasting results of SkinCeuticals clinical procedures, advanced homecare and professional treatments.

Introducing A.G.E. Interrupter

In partnership with CDFG, SkinCeuticals unveiled a pop-up on 1 May in Haitang Bay to celebrate the launch of A.G.E. Interrupter Lab. It marked the debut of Advanced Skinscope, which brings futuristic medical professional diagnostic services to travellers and offers them anti-aging solutions backed by scientific research.

The pop-up, which remains in place until 29 May, highlights A.G.E. Interrupter, a high-concentration anti-wrinkle cream that helps improve visible signs of aging caused by advanced glycation end products (A.G.E.). It is formulated with 30% Proxylane concentrate, 4% blueberry extract and 0.2% phytosphingosine.

Interrupter Lab and the Champion’s Antioxidant Standard, bringing its unique medical professional brand experience to the Chinese travellers.”

Visitors to the lab pop-up first discover an immersive LED tunnel that illustrates A.G.E. Interrupter’s ability to fight the advanced glycation process. They are then invited to the A.G.E. Hero experience zone for product trials and ingredient exploration, and are encouraged to scan QR codes to access supporting clinical studies.

Guests can then have a personalised skin consultation with the brand’s latest beauty tech innovation – Advanced Skinscope, an artificial intelligence-driven tool for complete skin diagnosis and routine recommendation.

Advanced Skinscope was developed by CSKIN and L’Oréal China, and is equipped with high-definition cameras for 270 degree full face scanning, with five different light rays that reveal underlying skin damage. It employs AI algorithm scoring to generate a diagnostic report that forms the basis of a detailed and customised skincare routine.

Backed by the brand’s product philosophy of ‘Prevent, Correct and Protect’, the sensory experience allows consumers to learn the science behind A.G.E. Interrupter through engaging animations. At the conclusion, consumers are directed to a vending machine where they can redeem a small gift.

L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific General Manager of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty and Professional Products Divisions Fran Law said, “We are delighted to partner with China Duty Free Group on the grand launch of A.G.E. Interrupter Lab and Advanced Skinscope, bringing clinical-grade skincare and industry leading service to the Chinese travellers.” ✈
