Six new commercial contracts awarded at Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport

INDONESIA. Airport operator Angkasa Pura 1 this week signed concession agreements with six winning bidders to operate food & beverage, retail and services outlets at Ngurah Rai International Airport.

The awards were announced by Tommy Soetomo, President Director of Angkasa Pura I, which was represented by Marketing Business Development Director Robert Waloni at the signing ceremony.

The winning bidders were:

1. Package 2E – High Street Fashion, PT Inti Dufree Promosindo and DFS Group
2. Package 8A – Champagne Bar, PT Nu Prasada
3. Package 10 – Spa, CV Menjangan Mas
4. Package 7 – Convenience Store, PT Inti Dufree Promosindo and WH Smith
5. Package 9A – Travel Agency, PT Kharisma Adiwibawa
6. Package 1A – Car Rental, PT Golden Bird

Local companies PT Nu Prasada and CV Menjangan Mas are members of the Ngurah Rai Airport Retail Association. Through close cooperation with island businesses, Angkasa Pura I said it plans to promote the culture and heritage of Bali strongly.

The company said: “Once again [as with previous retail awards], this event is a major milestone in Angkasa Pura I’s journey of transformation and its goal to enhance the airport’s non-aeronautical revenue contribution.”

Angkasa Pura I said that its main priority is to upgrade customer service. “We will not only deliver the basic services of an airport but also create a unique and enjoyable travel experience inside the terminal, especially in the commercial area where most passengers spend their time,” it said.

“Excellent services inside this commercial area can only be delivered through strong partnerships with world-class operators that have a proven track record.”

The signing ceremony was held at Kartika Hotel Hotel, Bali. It was attended by GVK President Project Development, Karthi Gajendran; General Manager of Ngurah Rai Commercial SBU, Kenneth Guldbjerg; Co-General Manager Ramdan Pradarma; plus other senior representatives from Angkasa Pura I and the winning bidders.

Angkasa Pura I said: “This agreement not only reflects all the companies’ enthusiasm to cooperate, but will also bring a new quality level in the history of Indonesian airport retail.”
