Singapore Cruise Centre seeks food & beverage and non-duty free retail concession partner at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal

SINGAPORE. Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) is inviting interested parties to respond to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to operate a new food & beverage and non-duty free retail concession at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

The contract is for three years with a two-year extension option. As reported, DFS Group was awarded SCC’s first master duty free and general merchandise concession in December 2016, subsequently opening seven stores at SCC’s Tanah Merah and HarbourFront terminals.

Outside the DFS business, SCC is consolidating several separate contracts for existing food & beverage, retail and currency exchange outlets (predominantly in the public area before security and immigration), into a single operator concession.

The company said the move forms part of a commitment to continuously enhance passenger experience, provide world-class dining and shopping options, and optimise revenues.

The opportunity covers approximately 600sq m of commercial space at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, which welcomed 1.93 million passengers in 2017.

Potential bidders can request the RFQ document by emailing Teresa Ling, AVP (Commercial Leasing) at teresaling@singaporecruise.com.sg and Hilda Tan, Assistant Manager (Commercial Leasing) at hilda.tan@singaporecruise.com.sg.

The deadline for the RFQ submission is Monday 3 September 2018, 4 p.m. (SGT).

SCC said that it does not bind itself to accept any tender or the highest bid.

Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal is part of Singapore Cruise Centre’s multi-location ferry and cruise hub operations.

Singapore’s second regional ferry terminal at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal was completed in November 1995 at a cost of S$28.6 million (US$20.93 million). A S$3 million (US$2.2 million) upgrade of the terminal took place in 2006. Today, TMFT welcomes over 1.93 million passengers through its door per year.

Currently, four berths serve regional ferries that travel to destinations in Indonesia:

– Nongsapura, Batam

– Batam Centre, Batam

– Harbour Bay, Batam

– Pulau Lobam, Bintan

– Bintan Lagoon, Bintan

– Tanjung Pinang, Bintan

– Telok Sebong (Bintan Resorts), Bintan
