MALAYSIA. Malaysia Airports retail division Eraman has awarded 17 shoppers with prizes in the grand finale of its year-long Shopping Extravaganza: Shop & Drive.
The top prize, a brand new Mazda 6 car, was awarded to Mr. Choudhury Soumik from Kolkata, India. 16 other shoppers received cash vouchers worth RM4,000 (US$939) and RM3,000 (US$704).
Mr. Choudhury Soumik said: “It was such a wonderful surprise when I found out the fantastic news of my win. Never in my wildest dreams could I ever image that my perfume purchase at the international Departure Hall of klia2 would lead to this wonderful reward. Thank you so much to Eraman; I am a loyal customer and will continue to use their outlets on my future trips to Malaysia.”
A total of 301,273 entries were received for the three phases of the Eraman Shopping Extravaganza. The number of entries for the final contest increased by +23% compared to the previous one. The majority of participants were from Malaysia, China, India and Indonesia.
To take part in the Eraman Shopping Extravaganza contests, shoppers had to spend a minimum of RM250 (US$58) at any of Eraman’s participating outlets. Weekly prizes such as cash vouchers, Bally handbags and Swarovski jewellery were given plus the top prizes of a Honda City, Mazda CX5 and Mazda 6.

Pernod Ricard, as the campaign’s Platinum Sponsor, offered -20% off on the purchase of selected items such as Chivas, Martell, The Glenlivet, Royal Salut and Absolut, as well as -25% off on the purchase of two bottles. FNA Marketing (M) Malaysia, as the Silver Sponsor, offered special discounts on Anthon Berg, Cadbury, Goldkenn, Storck and Toblerone. The purchase of between two and four items entitled the purchaser to a gwp or another item free.
This year, Eraman said it is focused on creating even more exciting promotions, rewarding loyal customers and developing strategic collaborations with partners and brand principals. The Eraman Shopping Extravaganza 2017/18 starts this month. Together with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, Eraman will offer prizes which include three BMW 318i cars. Phase one of the Shopping Extravaganza runs through June and July, phase two through November and December 2018 and phase three through April and May 2018.
