Shiseido Travel Retail marks festive season with new limited-edition ranges

Shiseido Travel Retail has introduced four limited-edition Holiday Collections from its Shiseido, Clé de Peau Beauté, NARS and Laura Mercier beauty brands.

The products are available now in selected markets.

Shiseido Travel Retail said it worked with various artists to develop the concepts, with each brand’s collection telling a different story and offering consumers gifting options for the festive season.

Shiseido’s Holiday Ribbonesia: ‘Bringing inner beauty to the surface’.

Shiseido Travel Retail President and CEO Philippe Lesné commented: “Entering the festive season, Shiseido Travel Retail is embracing the spirit of gifting in collaboration with some exceptional artists.

“These sensational limited-edition collections represent our largest-ever range of holiday exclusives introduced to the travel retail channel, across four of our biggest brands in make-up and skincare, helping retailers maximise the beauty gifting opportunity at this time of the year.”

Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is considered Shiseido’s ‘star’ product and is available in two sizes: 75ml and a travel retail-exclusive 100ml.

Shiseido’s Holiday Ribbonesia

This year’s Holiday Collection is designed by Japanese artists Baku Maeda and Toru Yoshikawa. It is based on a ‘bringing inner beauty to the surface’ philosophy.

Working under the name Ribbonesia, the artists use ribbons as a design medium. Their work is inspired by nature, and here includes colourful hummingbirds and flowers. The brand said the collection is underpinned by a message that skin and spirit “can be perfected and brightened” through use of its products.

The collection features:

  • Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, which is considered Shiseido’s ‘star’ product. It is available in Asia Pacific; Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA); and the Americas. Sizes are 75ml and a travel retail-exclusive 100ml.
  • ModernMatte Powder Lipstick Expressive Deluxe Mini Set, which includes five lipsticks that range from neutrals to brilliant reds. The set is only available in EMEA.
  • Synchro Skin Cushion Compact Case, a limited edition in black and white and includes a face puff with a flower on the handle. It is available in Asia Pacific.


Clé de Peau Beauté Collection Féeries d’Hiver

This collection is based on a winter wonderland concept and is designed by renowned surrealist illustrator Daria Petrilli. The artwork on the packaging features a whimsical world designed to take the consumer on a journey through a flower garden.

Shiseido Travel Retail said the brand’s gold key logo represents the key to beautiful skin.

Key products of this collection include La Crème, which is known for its anti-aging Illuminating Complex EX and is presented in redesigned pastel- rose packaging; Lipstick Cashmere, with two matte lipsticks in beige pink and vivid pink shades; and Refining Press Powder, a face powder in a shade of pastel pink.

This exclusive collection will be available in Asia Pacific and the Americas.

NARS Holiday Collection features a distorted brand logo for the first time.

NARS Holiday Collection

Shiseido Travel Retail said this collection embodies the spirit of the 1970s punk era in London, New York and Paris.

It features intense shades and bold packaging to reflect founder François Nars’ interpretation of the fashion of the punk movement. The collection also marks two firsts for the brand. It is the first time that the NARS logo has been distorted. It is also the biggest collection that NARS has released.

The limited-edition collection is available in Asia Pacific and EMEA (UK and Dubai).

Highlights of the collection include two palettes: the Provocateur Eyeshadow Palette, which consists of six shades in mattes, shimmers and metallics; and the Orgasm Infatuation Palette, which features Orgasm in a blush and highlighting formula, as well as Laguna Bronzer.

Intense shades and bold packaging are a feature of the NARS Holiday Collection.

NARS Little Fetishes gift boxes contain a pair of mini-sized NARS Little Fetishes Orgasm Blush and Lipstick and NARS Little Fetishes Audacious Mona and Rita lipsticks.

Laura Mercier ‘City of Lights’ Holiday Collection

Laura Mercier is a brand with both Parisian and New York roots. It took inspiration from the colour, glamour and light shows in both cities for this collection, which is available in Asia Pacific.

City of Lights includes a limited-edition Pret-A-Powder set of Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Velour Puff and Shadows & Lights Mini Caviar Stick Collection, which offers four multi-tasking eye shadow sticks in matte Au Naturel and Rose Gold, Amethyst and Moonlight.

Velour a Deux in Coral is a duo lip set of Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick in Stylin and Mini Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Infatuation.
