CHINA. Shiseido Company is celebrating a successful showing at the inaugural China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo).
The Japanese beauty company showcased new brands, products and technologies to key trade and consumer audiences at the hugely successful four-day event which welcomed 240,000 visitors and over 1,505 companies and 2,628 exhibitors from 70 different countries.
Shiseido’s innovative ‘Skin Beauty Live Studio’ presence also served as a platform to debut prestige skincare brands BAUM and THE GINZA to the Chinese domestic market.
It showcased 13 brands in Shiseido’s powerful portfolio of beauty brands.
As reported, BAUM is a sustainable offering from Shiseido Group that supports healthy skin by harnessing ‘the power of trees’ with a focus on water storage, growth and environmental defense.
Meanwhile, THE GINZA combines cutting-edge technology with high-quality ingredients to deliver tailormade solutions, based on skin physiology, for all skin types and problems.
Shiseido’s presence also featured numerous live events, interactive digital touchpoints, and virtual shopping experiences. The ‘Live Studio’ concept also included a livestreaming room, which hosted beauty consultations, product demonstrations and brand launches throughout the Expo.
In addition, the Shiseido stand featured a cross-border ecommerce zone, which enabled customers to purchase tax-free products not yet released in China. While exploring the six different exhibition areas, Expo visitors were also encouraged to collect virtual stamps on WeChat to receive a complimentary Shiseido gift set.
In addition, the company’s ‘Skin Beauty Live Studio’ presence commemorated the 40th anniversary of the company’s ‘Power of Beauty’ journey in the China domestic market through a special Corporate Zone.
The opening ceremony & strategy presentation at the Skin Beauty Live Studio was presented by Shiseido China President & CEO Kentaro Fujiwara.
The event was held in front of an audience of key Chinese trade delegates, government leaders and media stakeholders.
To mark the occasion, Fujiwara took part in a souvenir gift exchange ceremony with Hainan Provincial People’s Congress Deputy Director of the Standing Committee Guan Jinping.
