Shannon Retail Innovation launches inclusive makeup brand Jecca Blac into travel retail

Jecca Blac offers gender-free makeup products for all users

Gender-free makeup brand Jecca Blac has appointed Irish agency Shannon Retail Innovation as its exclusive distributor in travel retail.

The makeup company said its mission “is to be a brand that represents all beauty lovers: all expressions, genders, sexualities, abilities, pronouns, shapes and sizes. As well as providing beautiful makeup products, Jecca Blac also helps bring our beautiful community together.”

Jecca Blac offers vegan, cruelty-free products that cater to a diverse clientele. The company was founded by London-based film & TV makeup artist Jessica Blackler, who wanted to offer trans women a safe space to experiment with makeup.

Blackler was inspired by her volunteer experience in male prisons, where she helped transitioning inmates discover the transformative power of makeup. She created Jecca Blac in 2018, with the aim of creating a brand that offered beauty solutions for trans women through product and education.

Blackler hosts regular focus groups to give feedback on products. She said that this dialogue ensures her products are aligned with the needs of her diverse clientele.

“Working with this exciting brand and the inspiring entrepreneurial values that Jessica brings to the partnership fits perfectly in our portfolio,” commented Shannon Retail Innovation Founder Joe Harvey. “We look forward to seeing Jecca Blac products making their debut soon in travel retail.”

Jecca Blac’s current makeup offering includes primers, face palettes, and lipsticks. The primer range is comprised of the Glow Drops Primer, Hydrate Primer and the Blur & Matte Primer.

The face palette range includes the Correct & Conceal Palette and Sculpt & Soften Palette. Finally, the Long Lasting Lipstick range offers four shades: Life On The Rainbow, Play Nude, Qween and URU.
