Sense of discovery: Chanel reveals Beauty Studio at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

“Transit has never been more thrilling” — The new Chanel Beauty Studio is guided by a sense of discovery and features dynamic displays, virtual try-on and animated digital screens

FRANCE. French luxury house Chanel has partnered with the Société de Distribution Aéroportuaire joint venture between Paris Aéroports and Lagardère Travel Retail to open Chanel Beauty Studio at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport Terminal 2E.

The 44sq m boutique, which officially opened on 30 June, is located by Gate E in one of the key international terminals at CDG. According to the luxury house, the store reinforces its vision for beauty retail which is centred around product creation, expertise and customer interaction.

The striking, box-shaped boutique features Chanel’s signature monochromatic black and white colour palette and invites customers into an immersive shopping environment.

The minimalist box-shaped boutique takes inspiration from the design of Chanel’s luxury packaging and showcases the maison’s makeup, skincare, fragrance and eyewear products

The graphic, monochromatic look also extends to the interiors and furnishings where pure simple lines give the beauty and fragrance products space to shine, said the brand owner. The interior walls are brightly light and animated with imagery from Chanel’s latest beauty campaigns.

The space is guided by a sense of discovery with Chanel’s makeup collection displayed at the centre of the boutique. Equipped with augmented reality capabilities, the boutique offers Chanel Try-On, allowing customers to virtually test makeup products in a safe and contactless manner.

Chanel beauty advisors are on-hand, offering their expertise, while an eye-catching mood board is displayed in the boutique’s right-hand wall to offer shoppers inspiration.

The store also features a lip bar with more than 200 Chanel lipstick shades. The shades are displayed on a vibrant 3D wall of lipstick cases.

The fragrance wall features a graphic composition of packaging and shines the spotlight on the Les Eaux des Chanel and Les Exclusifs de Chanel lines. The two fragrance collections — developed by in-house Fragrance Creator Oliver Polge — are divided by an art deco mirror which pays homage to Gabrielle Chanel’s famous mirrored staircase in her studio in 31 Rue Cambon.

An exclusive selection of skincare products is also available at the boutique, with a special emphasis on the Sublime skincare line.

In addition, the boutique offers a dedicated eyewear space, featuring a comprehensive collection of exclusive seasonal and classic sunglasses styles.

Commenting on the new boutique, Chanel said: “With the opening of this new Chanel Beauty Studio, the Maison reinforces a bold, unique shopping experience, in which creation, expertise and a sense of discovery unite in captivating surroundings.

“The dynamic display evolves with each new season and a steady flow of exclusive releases, ensuring clients will be able to encounter much-loved products alongside exciting new propositions. Transit has never been so thrilling – try not to miss your flight.”
