INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report, the world’s leading business media and information intelligence source for the travel retail and airport commercial revenues sectors, today announced three key appointments to its senior management team.

Sarah Genest, Vice President Sales & Events and one of the team’s longest-serving and most-respected executives, takes on the additional role as Publisher of FAB – The Moodie Davitt Report’s acclaimed annual airport food & beverage eZine, eNewsletter and annual conference and awards of the same name.

The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie said, “This promotion is due recognition of Sarah’s outstanding commitment to the airport food & beverage sector, to our unique event and its related publishing titles – as well as to our core Moodie Davitt Report publications. Sarah has played a critical role in FAB’s success over the years and under her leadership, both title and event will go from strength to strength.”

In a move that underlines The Moodie Davitt Report’s burgeoning portfolio of market-leading digital and print titles and increased focus on best-in-class design, Kiran Ghattaura has been promoted to Design Director. Kiran, who joined the company in April, is charged with taking the design of all company titles and branding to a new level that reflects our strong leadership position and flourishing product line-up.

“Kiran is an extraordinary talent who, together with our long-standing and outstanding designer Ray Heath, will add  a new qualitative dimension to our titles,” said Moodie. “Her impact on the organisation can already be seen in some of her early creative efforts [pictured below], especially her powerful feel for appropriate cover imagery and pictorial counterbalance for the stories we love to tell.”

In another key appointment, Gemma Aldridge joins the company on 15 September as International Account Manager, reporting to Publisher Irene Revilla.

Gemma is a well-known figure in travel retail. She joins the company from award-winning UK drinks company (and fast-rising travel retail force) Chase Distillery, where she was Brand Development Manager – Premium Retailers. Before that Gemma worked for leading cruise retail concessionaire Harding Retail, latterly as Buyer – Duty Free Liquor, Tobacco and Confectionery.

“Gemma’s credentials in the travel retail industry speak for themselves,” said Moodie. “She has an outstanding knowledge of the sector, great respect within it, and a passion and energy that will serve us well amid the tremendous growth that we are experiencing.”

Moodie added: “Together with other recent personnel moves, including new Events & CSR Director Michael Oldham (employed in May to replace Michael Barrett, who this week joined Travel Retail Business); Fashion, Beauty & Social Media Editor Hannah Tan-Gillies; Senior Retail and Commercial Analyst Min Yong Jung; Senior Editor Liam Coleman; and Deputy Administrative Officer Steffi Gratia Fernandes, the new appointments and promotions reflect our determination to invest for growth and to serve our industry better. We have just experienced the best 12 months in our 17-year history and with the most talented and committed team in the business in place, the future looks even brighter.”
