San José del Cabo International Airport releases RFP for 12 speciality stores

MEXICO. San José del Cabo (SJD) International Airport is today releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for 12 speciality stores at the International Terminal Building.

SJD is run by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), which owns and operates 12 airports in Mexico and two in Jamaica.

The bid process follows an ambitious terminal expansion programme that redeveloped the entire commercial area, including F&B and the main duty free store.

International passenger numbers for pre-COVID 2019 reached 3.69 million. GAP expects that number to reach at least 3.73 million in 2022.

The RFP embraces stores with the following speciality retail categories:

SJD said: “We want to make the passengers’ shopping experience as unique as possible. The new layout was generated to maximise the commercial potential and developed strategically to expose the commercial offer to 100% of passengers, encouraging them to shop. The objective is to generate am innovative commercial offer.”

SJD said that the successful proponents will provide high-quality products and a wide variety of brands that meet passenger expectations and satisfy their needs and desires.

Sealed proposals in packages will be received at GAP headquarters by the commercial team according to specific timings. For details, would-be bidders can contact the GAP commercial team via the following link: https://www.aeropuertosgap.com.mx/en/comercial.html

GAP/SJD will conduct two information sessions on 22 July, one at 09:30 and the other at 15:30 (Central Mexico Time). A registration link will be enabled on the web site mentioned above. It is obligatory for all those interested in participating in the process to register their attendance.
